Bug Fix

Delay steps now always show, and keep, a real wait

Some Delay steps, mostly ones built by an AI assistant or carried over from older automations, stored their timing in a form the builder didn’t show. A step could read “Wait 14 days” in the builder while contacts actually went straight through it.

The builder now shows what every Delay step really does. A step that waits for nothing says “No wait (runs immediately)” and shows a red warning, and steps with older timing are shown in the usual amount and unit fields. Any change you make saves the step in that format. New Delay steps start at 1 day.

An automation can’t be turned on while one of its Delay steps waits for nothing. If you see “Delay step … has no wait time”, open that step, set how long to wait, and turn the automation on again. Automations that are already on keep running, and you can still edit or turn them off. A Delay step you add or change on them must have a wait.

AI assistants that create or update automations through Sure Send now have to give every Delay step an amount and a unit, such as 3 days. A Delay step with no wait is refused before anything is saved.
